Utilities
The Town of Milan Utilities Department provides water, sewer and trash services for Milan Indiana. Curbside recycling and heavy trash are also provided for our residents.
Utility Billing Dates
Bills come out by the 10th of every month and are due on or before the 29th of every month.
Water Reading Dates - 28th to the 28th
Example: May 28th thru June 28th will be mailed by July 10th.
Penalties Assessed
If the balance is not paid by the 29th, a penalty fee will be assessed.
Disconnect Date
If the balance is not paid by the 9th of the following month, service will be disconnected.
Reconnect Fees
A $50.00 reconnect fee will be assessed for reconnection. All charges, including past due, the current month's charges, and the reconnection fee, must be paid prior to service being reconnected.
Trash Service
Trash Service and curbside recycling is picked up every Friday. Heavy trash picks up the 1st Friday of every month. For issues with trash contact Rumpke at 1-800-828-8171
Utility Bill Payments
Utility payments may be made in person, online, by dropbox, at Civista bank, or via US Postal
Service.
Office Hours
8:30 am to 12:00 pm and 1:00 pm to 5:00 pm Monday thru Thursday and closed on Friday's.
Other Utility Services
Additional services such as electricity, natural gas, and internet are provided by other companies. Town residents should contact Duke Energy for their electricity. Rural residents should contact Southeastern Indiana REMC. Natural Gas is provided by Southeastern Indiana Natural Gas. Internet by Frontier.
