Meeting called to order by Deb Shumate, Council President, on Tuesday January 21, 2020 at 6:30pm. All Present joined in giving the pledge of Allegiance.
Concerns/Comments from the public:
John Ingram gave an update and an estimate on cost on the sewer repair on W. Carr ST. Council gave John the Go Ahead to advertise the project with a motion from Mark Marsee and a second from Drew Olman. Payment for project will be discussed at a future date, it may be in part from Riverboat funds, sewer and MVH.
Solicitation request from Sons of the American Legion was approved and fees waived by a motion from Drew Olman and a second from Mark Marsee. All ayes. Date set is for 9/5/2020. Purpose of request is to raise funds for "Coats for Kids."
Doug Price presented to Council the need for a new pump at the lift station at the grade school. Estimated cost is $8296.50. The Community Park is in need of a new panel. Estimated cost of the panel would be $9300.00. Motion to proceed made by Drew Olman, Mark Marsee seconded. All ayes. Funding to come from Sewer.
John Ingram informed Council the deadline for awarding contracts for paving and sidewalks is 2/24/2020. First advertising will be 1/28/2020, second advertising will be 2/4/2020. Opening bids will be 2/11/2020. Mark Marsee made motion to begin advertising, Drew seconded. All ayes.
